How did you get into snowboarding?
When I was 7 I had my first lesson at Halifax ski and snowboard centre and from then on I knew that snowboarding was for me!
Last year you won the halfpipe and the slopestyle at the Brits – what’s your next goal?
To win and get top 10 results in some of the biggest snowboard contests around the world, such as the Burton European Open, Dew Tour and X Games European.
What’s been your scariest moment on a snowboard so far?
When I was riding backcountry in Chamonix with James Stentiford – it’s pretty scary to ride those mountains as they’re so steep.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years time and what would you like to have achieved?
Ideally having landed some major video parts and stood on the podiums in big snowboard competitions.
Who do you like to ride with most?
Riding with my friends is the main thing!
When are you at your happiness?
When I am snowboarding, and seeing friends and family!
What are your plans for this winter?
To mainly compete around the world.
You’re nailing double corks – what do you think of the progression in snowboarding? And what’s next, for the sport in general and for you in particular?
Yeah finally getting them down now, I have a few more to try this winter such as the frontside and double rodeo. But the next one to land is cab double cork 1260. I think it’s really good for the sport and it gets more exiting every year!
If you’re not snowboarding, what are you doing?
Drawing, seeing friends, skateboarding and on my bike.
If you could ride with just one person anywhere, who would it be with and where?
This is a hard question and I don’t really know, but I enjoy riding with everyone and if it was to be even at my local hill Castleford Sno!Zone or Halifax dryslope then I would enjoy it.
