When silver is just as good as gold

Jenny Jones

Last weekend I competed in the final stop of the Winter Dew Tour at Mount Snow in Wermont where, by the way, it is bloody freezing. The course wasn’t great and the park crew had to make changes to it after the practice session because lots of the riders had trouble clearing features.
However, I managed to put a run together in the qualifiers that got me through to the next day’s finals.
We had a quick practice in the morning of the finals and then it was on with the contest. We had two runs.  On my first run I put something pretty safe down which put me into 2nd. So on the second and last run I tried to put together a more technical top section but I lost my speed and had to change from a cab 5 to a cab 3 which judges aren’t keen on. I landed the 7 on the bottom jump but because of my sketchy riding at the top section I didn’t score much higher, which is fair enough. I was happy to finish in 2nd.
That finish put me in 2nd place for the overall Winter Dew Tour Cup (A three contest tour in the US). Woohoo.

Jenny's happy 2nd

I am now off to lake tahoe to rest the knee a bit and maybe ride some soft powder. And I’m looking forward to watching the girls and guys in the Olympics next week.

Come on the Brits

Nice one Jenny… Rest up for a while but keep going.
Amazing to have got your 2nd gold at X-games. Woo Hoo!

Hearing about all your travels and comp wins gives me inspiration to keep travelling to different places and riding as hard as I do.

    Bring it for the girls!!
