A loyal band of regular visitors just love Méribel, and you can see why. For keen piste-bashers who like to rack up the miles but dislike tacky purpose-built resorts, it’s difficult to beat. The Three Valleys can keep anyone amused for a fortnight – and Méribel-Mottaret, in particular, has quick access to every part. Unlike other purpose-built resorts, Méribel has always insisted on chalet-style architecture.
What more could you ask? Well, our – points are mostly non-trivial, and other 3V resorts have the edge in some respects. For better snow opt for Courchevel or Val Thorens. For a smaller village, St-Martin or La Tania. For lower prices, Les Menuires. For a lower concentration of Brits, go virtually anywhere. But the other resorts have their drawbacks, too.
